Product Installation

Where can the wireless locator be installed?

The wireless locator can be installed under the seat, near the front and rear bumpers, inside the left and right doors, or adsorbed in the trunk. It can also be adsorbed on the iron part of the chassis of the car using strong magnets.

Where can the wired locator be installed?

The wired GPS locator can be installed in the decorative panel below the front windshield, in the front instrument panel, under the decorative panel below the rear windshield, in the headlights, etc. Note: Whether it is a wired or wireless locator, keep the locator (the side with the pattern) facing up during installation. Pay attention to prevent high temperature and water, and prevent metal partitions from affecting the locator signal. Even if the locator is marked as waterproof, it can only be splash-proof and cannot be soaked in water.

What are the wiring steps for a wired GPS locator?

Find the positive and negative poles of the vehicle's battery power supply, which can be the live and ground wires of the power cord extending from the battery power supply; Step 2: Twist the red and orange wires of the battery car and motorcycle locator together to connect to the positive pole, and the black wire to the negative pole or ground. The white wire does not need to be connected; the red wire of the car, transport truck, and bus locator is connected to the positive pole, the orange wire is connected to the vehicle's ACC control line, and the black wire is connected to the negative pole or ground.

What precautions should be taken when installing a GPS locator?

(1). The installation location of the locator should avoid the emission source, such as reversing radar, anti-theft device and other vehicle communication terminals, to avoid signal interference and affect the positioning effect of the locator
(2) When installing the locator, you can use a cable tie to fix it, or use a wide sponge with strong double-sided tape to stick it, to prevent the locator from falling off due to strong vibration and making a sound. When installing, make sure that the front of the locator is facing up and there is no metal obstruction above it. The horizontal tilt angle of the locator should be kept within 15°, and it should not affect the normal reception of the signal.
(3). (4) If the locator is not waterproof, you need to wrap it in a plastic bag before installing it.
(5). It is not recommended to install it near the battery under the spare tire in the trunk, as it will seriously affect the signal strength of the locator.

How to deal with the device not being activated?

(1) The device is not powered on or is not turned on. You can check the corresponding power on and off status through the card platform to judge.
(2) There is a problem with the card. The traffic is not connected, resulting in failure to activate.
The number of devices is wrong. It is not the domain name and IP or port of our platform that has problems. In this case, you can send a query parameter command to query. (3)(4) In the unpositioned state, you can move the device from indoors to outdoors. If it is already outdoors, shake the device to reposition it.
